Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home: Together We Nurture Every Child and Family to Shine

The vision of Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home (CSLMCH) is to be a premier Children’s Home where every child is nurtured to their full potential and ingrained with good Christian values to become responsible members of their respective families and community.

CSLMCH provides shelter, care, and protection to residents between 5 and 21 years old, many of whom come from needy and disadvantaged families. Admissions are facilitated through the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) or court orders.

At CSLMCH, warmth and care infuse every interaction, fostering a supportive environment where each child’s potential is realised and families are strengthened. With the invaluable support of volunteers, donors, and partners, CSLMCH continues to uphold this commitment.

The Home adopts an integrated approach to meet the emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs of the children through various programmes and activities.

Educational Support

Academic coaching and support are provided for children with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs.

Enrichment Programmes

Various interest-based activities facilitate the discovery of talents, the building of self-worth, and the development of new interests.

Life Skills Programmes

Personal independence and development are fostered in children through diverse life skills programmes.

Recreational Programmes

Group activities & learning journeys create positive experiences and lasting memories, nurturing strong friendships and social-emotional skills.

Social and emotional competencies are developed to increase the children’s awareness of self and others, strengthen their interpersonal skills, and enable positive decision-making.

Spiritual Nurturing

Biblical values and character traits emphasising love and forgiveness are taught in chapel services, care groups, church attendance, and prayers.

Chen Su Lan Methodist Childrens Home

CSLMCH aims to facilitate the successful reintegration of children into their families and communities. It strives to equip children with the necessary skills and knowledge for independence by age 21, ensuring they thrive even after they leave the Home.

As a non-profit organisation, the Home relies on donations from the public to defray its operational costs and supplement government funding for their various programmes.
